Curacao
Curaçao is located in the Southern Caribbean, just off the coast of Venezuela. Together with nearby Aruba and Bonaire, it constitutes the "ABC" islands, or Leeward Antilles. Just north of the Equator, it is warm and sunny year-round.
Curaçao has one major city, the capital Willemstad, which takes up most of the central part of the island. In the West part of Curaçao, called Banda Abou, you'll also find villages and community centers like Boka St Michiel, Tera Kora, Soto, and Barber.
Most of Curaçao is accessible within a 30-45 minute drive, regardless of where you start.
Highlight’s include:
Landhuis Chobolobo mansion
Mambo beach club
Jewish Culture Historical Museum
Christoffel National Park
Shete Boka National Park
Playa Piskado
Playa Forti
The Mega Cruise Terminal, located in West Willemstad, is just a few minutes' walk into downtown.
The Renaissance Mall & Rif Fort, located next to the cruise terminal, offers a shopping experience with a variety of brands, dining options, and sightseeing opportunities.
Due to the absence of ferries between islands or to Venezuela, airplanes are the primary mode of transportation. Chartering a boat with a captain is an option to reach Bonaire, but it's difficult to find one to go to Aruba and nearly impossible to go to Venezuela.

The country's telephone code is +5999.
The currency is the Antillean Guilder (ANG), also called the Florin. You can use US Dollars everywhere, and most credit and debit cards are accepted, except for American Express, which is only accepted by some.
